Shelbyville, IN – The Shelbyville Municipal Airport is excited to announce its upcoming Fly-In Community Day, taking place on August 17, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. This family-friendly event is free to attend and open to the entire community.
Fly-In Community Day promises a fun-filled experience for all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of aircraft up close, enjoy delicious food from Dayton’s Family Affair, and indulge in sweet treats from the ice cream vendor, Whip It. Adding to the festive atmosphere, live music will be provided by Larry Boggs Music, ensuring a day full of entertainment and community spirit.
“We are thrilled to host this event and welcome the community to our airport,” said Maranda Smith, Airport Manager/FBO Manager. “Fly-In Community Day is a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to experience aviation firsthand, enjoy great food, and connect with neighbors in a fun and relaxed setting.”
