PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS REGARDING SALE OF PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF SHELBYVILLE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY

At the June 14, 2022 meeting of the City of Shelbyville Board of Public Works and Safety (“the Board”), the Board determined it was appropriate to sell real estate owned by the City of Shelbyville at no less than the stated offering price:
A part of the north half of the southwest quarter in Section 13, Township 13 North Range 6 East in Brandywine Township, Shelby County, Indiana, being that part of grantor’s land lying within the right of way lines depicted on the attached Right of Way Parcel Plat, marked Exhibit “B”, described as follows: Commencing at an Aluminum Monument found marking the northeast corner of said southwest quarter, designated as point “305” on said Parcel Plat; thence South 00 degrees 53 minutes 05 seconds East (Indiana State Plane Coordinate System, East Zone), along the east line of said southwest quarter, a distance of 995.09 feet to the southerly right-of-way of the Frontage Road paralleling Interstate Route 74, designated as point “352” on said Parcel Plat; thence North 46 degrees 38 minutes 45 seconds West, along said right-of-way, a distance of 141.95 feet measured (1452.22 feet deeded) to the north line of said southwest quarter, designated as point “353” on said Parcel Plat; thence North 89 degrees 54 minutes 03 seconds West, along said north line, a distance of 531.44 feet to the northwesterly corner of a 28.204 acre tract as described in Instrument Number 20080008391 in the Office of the Recorder of Shelby county, Indiana, designated as point “354” on said Parcel Plat; thence South 00 degrees 53 minutes 05 seconds East, along the westerly boundary of said 28.204 acre tract, a distance of 1074.34 feet to the intersection of a non tangent curve to the right, whose radius point bears South 38 degrees 35 minutes 54 seconds West, a distance of 1730.00 feet having a central angle of 12 degrees 39 minutes 56 seconds, designated as point “356” on said Parcel Plat and being the POINT OF BEGINNING of this description; thence southeasterly (long chord which bears South 45 degrees 04 minutes 08 seconds East, a chord distance of 379.45 feet), along the arc of said curve, a distance of 380.22 feet to the southerly boundary of said 28.204 acre tract, designated as point “363” on said Parcel Plat; thence North 89 degrees 56 minutes 12 seconds West, along said southerly boundary, a distance of 264.50 feet to the southwesterly corner of said 28.204 acre tract, designated as point “484” on said Parcel Plat; thence North 00 degrees 53 minutes 05 seconds West, along said westerly boundary, a distance of 267.73 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 0.874 acres (38,058 feet), more or less. Subject to all legal highways, rights-of-way, easements, and restrictions of record. Tax Parcel No. 73-06-13-300-017.000-005;

Minimum bid $20,000.

Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form to the Clerk Treasurers office located at 44 W. Washington St. Shelbyville, Indiana 46176 no later than 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday July 5, 2022. Bid
Forms are available in the Clerk Treasurer’s Office or on the City’s Website at www.cityofshelbyvillein.com. All bids will be open to public inspection upon receipt. Bidders
will be notified of all subsequent bids via electronic means and given an opportunity to increase their bid. Subject to the City’s ability to reject all bids successful bidders will be announced within 7 days of the conclusion of bidding. If only abutting landowners submit a bid the property will be sold in accordance with Ind. Code §36-1-11-5(g).

The Property may not be sold to a person who is ineligible under Indiana Code § 36-1-11-16, and an offer to purchase the Property which is submitted by a trust as defined in Indiana Code § 30-4-1-1(a) must identify each beneficiary of the trust and the settler empowered to revoke or modify the trust. The Property will be transferred “as is”, “where is” and “with all faults”. The City of Shelbyville makes not representation or warranty as to the physical condition or value of the Property. The City of Shelbyville reserves the right to reject all bids.
