City of Shelbyville Stormwater System
Watersheds
The City is split into the Ditchwood Watershed to the North and the Flatrock-Haw Watershed to the South. A watershed is the area of land where all of the water that is under it, or drains off of it, goes into the same place. Stormwater from the City is discharged into the Big and Little Blue Rivers, Brandywine River, Lewis Creak or the Thompson or Glessner Ditches.
