State of the City and Legislative Update

The Shelbyville community is cordially invited to attend the upcoming State of the City and Legislative Update luncheon event, to be held at the Knights of Columbus in Shelbyville, IN on Friday, April 5, 2024. 

This event, sponsored by Runnebohm Construction, Caldwell Trucking, RushShelby Energy, HWC, 9Star, Barnes and Thornburg, Duke Energy, McNeely Law, and Indiana American Water, will provide an invaluable opportunity for residents to engage with local leaders and stay informed about key developments affecting the city.

The event will kick off with Mayor Scott Furgeson providing a comprehensive review of the transition from the previous Mayor, followed by an insightful discussion on current city happenings, departmental updates, and exciting future projects on the horizon. Get an inside look into the city’s budget and gain valuable insights within the administration.
Delve into the priority bills affecting our community with State Representative Jenny Meltzer, including Administrative Law, Jewish Community Protection, 3rd Grade Reading Proficiency, and Digitizing Public Notices. Stay informed about the latest developments, including the Xylazine issue.
