Shelbyville, IN – The City of Shelbyville is pleased to announce the continuation of its Morrison Park Community Forum series, aimed at fostering open dialogue and collaboration between the residents and local stakeholders. Following the great conversations and feedback from the community at the inaugural forum, the second event is scheduled to showcase the students final recommendations and take place on April 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM EST at Girls Inc. Shelbyville located at 904 S Miller St, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

The second Morrison Park Community Forum serves as a platform for Ball State University Landscape Architecture students to present their final recommendations to the community and for residents to voice their opinions, share ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions on matters concerning the surrounding Morrison Park community. This event is a testament to the city’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and civic participation.

Building upon the momentum generated by the first forum, the upcoming event will continue to facilitate dialogue on key issues facing Morrison Park. Residents will have the opportunity to interact with representatives from Ball State University, as well as city officials, to address concerns, propose solutions, and collaborate on initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Shelbyville.

“We are excited to host the second installment of our Morrison Park Community Forum series and to further strengthen our ties with the residents of Shelbyville,” said Adam Rude, Director of Planning and Building for the City of Shelbyville.”These forums are invaluable in fostering community engagement and empowering our residents to play an active role in shaping the future of our city.
