In February 2016, we started our first Pay to Pick Up event. To be clear- we are NOT charging for trash collection in Shelbyville or for our yearly Spring and Fall Clean Ups. These services will still be provided at no charge. The only fee will be to those who choose to use this particular
program.

We will pick up larger items that we usually would not take outside of our regular clean ups for a fee. Residents who wish to use the program will need to visit our office to pay for a sticker or tag to put on the item that they wish to have collected. Items will not be collected without being tagged. Prices depend on the size of the item but vary from $10-$30. The item will be picked up on your next regular trash day, from the purchase date of your tag. Our first week to run the program will be February 1st-5th.

Although we are taking larger items for this program, we will not pick up anything that will require extra equipment. Items must be light enough for two people to pick up.

If you would like more information about the program, please call 392-5169.
